Storia

The years that mark the history of Wargas Sisti Jewellers originate in a small workshop opened in Ancona by Wargas Sisti in the 1920s and dedicated precisely to repairing the timepiece instrument par excellence: the watch. It was there that Wargas’ passion and skill for clockwork mechanisms, confirmed by a growing number of customers, convinced him to set up a real shop.

It was 1937, the date that officially saw the birth of the business. From that moment on, silverware and gold articles began to appear in the windows of the historic location in addition to watches and, from the early 1950s, the offer expanded to include jewellery.

In 1957, Wargas’ daughter, Silvana, imparted a new ‘brilliant’ development to the family business: as a skilled watchmaker and strong of the skills developed in the meticulous work on the laboratory benches at her father’s side, Silvana began to purchase precious stones to design and create exclusive jewellery to offer to her customers. The fame of the Wargas Sisti Jewellers was thus consolidated in the 1960s and 1970s.

In 1984, after Silvana’s early death, the company passed into the hands of her two daughters, who still run the business today.
